If your firewall is enabled with the default policy set to block WAN to LAN traffic, you also need to enable the default WAN to LAN firewall rule that forwards NetBIOS traffic. You can configure the NBG460N's LAN as a DHCP server or disable it. When configured as a server, the NBG460N provides the TCP/IP configuration for the clients. Click Reset to begin configuring this screen afresh. 10. 3 DHCP Advanced Screen This screen allows you to assign IP addresses on the LAN to specific individual computers based on their MAC addresses. You can also use this screen to configure the DNS server information that the NBG460N sends to the DHCP clients. Every Ethernet device has a unique MAC (Media Access Control) address. The MAC address is assigned at the factory and consists of six pairs of hexadecimal characters, for example, 00:A0:C5:00:00:02. To change your NBG460N's static DHCP settings, click Network > DHCP > Advanced. The following screen displays.
