Caution: Read this before operating your unit. 1 To assure the finest performance, please read this manual carefully. 2 Install this sound system in a well ventilated, cool, dry, clean place ­ away from direct sunlight, heat sources, vibration, dust, moisture, and/or cold. Allow ventilation space of at least 30 cm on the top, 20 cm on the left and right, and 20 cm on the back of this unit. 3 Locate this unit away from other electrical appliances, motors, or transformers to avoid humming sounds. [ ]/[ ]:Up/Down [ENTER]:Enter 2/2 FRONT B speakers setting FRONT B The "FRONT B" parameter is available only when you set "EXTRA SP ASSIGN" to "FRONT B". Choices: FRONT, ZONE B · Select "FRONT" to turn FRONT A and B on or off when the FRONT B speakers are set in the main room. · Select "ZONE B" if the FRONT B speakers are set in another room. If FRONT A is turned off and FRONT B is turned on, all the speakers including the subwoofer in the main room are muted and this unit outputs sound at the FRONT B terminals only. Notes · If you connect headphones to the PHONES jack of this unit, the sound is output from both the headphones and the speakers connected to the EXTRA SP terminals when "FRONT B" is set to "ZONE B". · If a DSP program is selected when "FRONT B" is set to "ZONE B", this unit automatically enters the Virtual CINEMA DSP mode (see page 46).
