[. . . ] CLP-320 OWNER'S MANUAL IMPORTANT --Check your power supply-- Make sure that your local AC mains voltage matches the voltage specified on the name plate on the bottom panel. In some areas a voltage selector may be provided on the bottom panel of the main keyboard unit near the power cord. Make sure that the voltage selector is set for the voltage in your area. The voltage selector is set at 240V when the unit is initially shipped. [. . . ] Determines the Time Signature While holding down the [METRONOME] button, press one of the C3­F3 keys. C3 D3 C3 D3 E3 F3 The highest key C3 key: No downbeat, C 3 key: 2/4, D3 key: 3/4, D 3 key: 4/4, E3 key: 5/4, F3 key: 6/4 Adjusting the Tempo You can adjust the metronome tempo by pressing the [+] or [­] button while the metronome is playing. The tempo of the metronome and preset song playback can be set from 32 to 280 beats per minute. While holding down the [METRONOME] button, press a sequence of C4­A4 keys to specify a three-digit number. For example, to set the tempo "95, " press the C4 (0), A4 (9) and F4 (5) keys in sequence. Increasing the tempo value in steps of one: While the metronome is playing, press the [+] button. Alternatively, press and hold down the [METRONOME] button, and press the C 5 key. Decreasing the tempo value in steps of one: While the metronome is playing, press the [­] button. Alternatively, press and hold down the [METRONOME] button, and press the B4 key. Increasing the tempo value in steps of ten: Press and hold down the [METRONOME] button, and press the D5 key. Decreasing the tempo value in steps of ten: Press and hold down the [METRONOME] button, and press the A 4 key. Resetting the tempo to default: While the metronome is playing, press the [+] and [­] buttons simultaneously. While holding down the [METRONOME] button, press one of the C1­G2 keys to determine the volume. The lowest key C1 G2 The volume level increases as you press higher keys. ENGLISH 2. Stop the metronome. Turn off the metronome by pressing the [METRONOME] button. Adjusting the Keyboard Touch (Touch Sensitivity) You can adjust the volume level, which changes depending on how fast or strong you hit the keys (keyboard touch). The recorded performance is called the "user song. " Follow the steps below to record and play back your performance. Audio recording and data recording Cassette tape recordings use a different data format than this instrument. On the other hand, this instrument records information about the notes and voices being played and about the timing and tempo of those notes. When you play back a recorded performance on this instrument, its internal tone generator reproduces the sound according to the recorded information. CAUTION Be careful not to erase the recorded data: After you record a performance on this instrument, the [PLAY] button indicator lights up.
