Play the pitch produced by pressing the 6th string at the 5th fret, and tune the pitch at the 5th fret of the 1F 2F 3F 4F 5F 8 Changing Strings As the strings get old, sound quality will gradually decrease, and it will become difficult to tune the instrument. The Silent Guitar uses a string length of 650mm (25-9/16 inch). · The end of the strings are sharp and can cut fingers. · When changing or adjusting strings, do not put your face close to the instrument. The string may suddenly break resulting in eye or other unexpected injuries. 1. Thread the string through the corresponding string hole on the bridge, then tie the string as shown in the illustration below. After tying the knot, pull both ends of the string to make the knot firm on the bridge. neck side Make sure the last knot is positioned over the edge of the bridge. bridge * If the string slips (1st, 2nd, 3rd strings) tie one more knot. 2. Next, tie the strings to the pegs. After all six strings are strung, go on to the "Tuning" (page 8) procedure and tune the guitar properly. 9 Power Supply The Silent Guitar operates either on battery power or with an AC adaptor however, it will consume more power when the reverb function is in use. For that reason, we recommend that it be powered with the supplied AC power adaptor for normal use. [. . . ] The REVERB function can be used for adding reverb to the guitar's tone to produce the live acoustic characteristics experienced in a room or hall. Set the REVERB switch to its "1" position to add the type of reverb usually experienced in a room, or set the switch to its "2" position to add the type of reverb normally experienced in a hall. · When compared to the REVERB switch's REVERB 1 or REVERB 2 positions, the instrument consumes less power when the REVERB switch is in its OFF position. · Some noise is produced when the position of the REVERB switch is changed.
