[. . . ] REFRIGERATOR USER INSTRUCTIONS THANK YOU for purchasing this high-quality product. If you should experience a problem not covered in TROUBLESHOOTING or PROBLEM SOLVER, please visit our website at www. You will need your model and serial number, located on the inside wall of the refrigerator compartment. 70 W10551728A REFRIGERATOR SAFETY Your safety and the safety of others are very important. [. . . ] Slide the ice storage bin under the ice maker, and push it toward the back as far as it will go. NOTE: It usually takes approximately 24 hours for the ice maker to begin producing ice. Ice Production Rate ■ IMPORTANT: After 5 minutes of continuous dispensing, the dispenser will stop dispensing water to avoid flooding. Hold a container under the dispenser spout while pressing the dispenser pad. Style 2 - Exterior Dispenser Models IMPORTANT: ■ The dispensing system will not operate when the refrigerator door is open. – The ice maker should produce approximately 8 to 12 batches of ice in a 24-hour period. To increase ice production, lower the freezer and refrigerator temperature. Remember ■ ■ The quality of your ice will be only as good as the quality of the water supplied to your ice maker. Water softener chemicals (such as salt) can damage parts of the ice maker and lead to poor quality ice. If a softened water supply cannot be avoided, make sure the water softener is operating properly and is well maintained. This can cause damage to the ice storage bin and the dispenser mechanism. Do not store anything on top of or in the ice maker or ice storage bin. The display screen on the dispenser control panel will turn off automatically and enter “sleep” mode when the control buttons and dispenser levers have not been used for 2 minutes or more. While in “sleep” mode, the first press of a control button will only reactivate the display screen, without changing any settings. If no changes are made within 2 minutes, the display will re-enter “sleep” mode. – ■ 13 The Dispenser Light When you use the dispenser, the light will automatically turn on. If you want the light to be on continuously, you may turn on the light. Exterior Dispenser Models The status of the water filter is determined by the number of days since the water filter tracking feature was last reset. – When the water filter status is good, between 0 and 167 days (approximately), the Blue water filter LED lights up. – When it is time to order a replacement water filter, between 168 and 181 days (approximately), the Yellow water filter LED lights up. When it is time to replace the water filter, between 182 and 195 days (approximately), the Red water filter LED and the words “Replace Filter” light up. When the water filter status is expired, the Red water filter LED lights up, and the words “Replace Filter” light up and flash all the time.
