Slide the electronic mat into the opening on the top of the fabric mat. Connect the fabric mat to the panel by hooking the fabric loop onto the hook on the back of the activity panel. Attach the velcro on the fabric mat to the electronic panel and secure. Instructions & Activities 5 2. Insert the tree into the hole located in the center of the activity panel. Once the tree has been attached, it cannot be removed. Please ensure all parts are securely fastened to the activity panel. Please follow the washing instructions located on the attached tag. PRODUCT FEATURES 1. ON/OFF/MODE SWITCH To turn the unit ON, slide the ON/OFF/MODE SWITCH to the LEARNING MODE ( ) position or to the MUSIC MODE ( ) position. AUTOMATIC SHUT-OFF To preserve battery life, the VTech® Explore & Learn MatTM will automatically power-down after approximately 30 seconds without input. You will hear a song and/or a friendly phrase depending on the selected mode. Slide the butterfly, touch the tree or twist the ladybug to learn about colors, shapes, numbers and fun sounds in the learning mode. Press the light-up piano keys in the learning mode to hear individual piano notes. The melody will resume normal play when the piano keys are no longer being pressed. Press the sensors on the mat to learn animal names and sounds, animal movements and melodies depending on the selected mode.
