WARNING: GETTING STARTED BATTERY INSTALLATION 1. Locate the battery cover on the bottom of the main unit. Use a screwdriver to loosen the screw. Install 2 new "AA" (UM-3/LR6) batteries following the diagram inside the battery box. (The use of new alkaline batteries is recommended for maximum performance. ) 4. Replace the battery cover and tighten the screw to secure the battery cover. BATTERY NOTICE · Install batteries correctly observing the polarity ( +, - ) signs to avoid leak age. · Remove exhausted or new batteries from the equipment when the unit will not be used for an extended period of time. · Do not dispose of batteries in fire. AUTOMATIC SHUT-OFF To preserve battery life, the Cluck Cluck ChickenTM will go into sleeping status after several minutes without input. The unit can be turned on again by pressing the beak button, attaching the chick or egg, or sliding the mode selector switch . ACTIVITIES 1. In the Number Mode, press the beak or attach the chick and egg to hear numbers identified. In the Melody Mode, press the beak or attach the chick and egg to hear melodies.
