Caller ID and CIDCW (Caller ID on Call Waiting) You must subscribe to Caller ID services through your local telephone provider to use these features. When the telephone rings, the Caller ID feature allows you to view the caller's name, phone number, date and time of call. With CIDCW (Caller ID on Call Waiting), you will hear a call waiting tone while you are on a call, and the Caller ID data is displayed. To accept the waiting call, press talk/flash on the handset or flash on the base (see page 32). Additionally, you can dial a number stored in the Caller ID list or save data to your Phonebook locations. Important: Memory locations for Caller ID messages and Phonebook locations (including Speed Dials) are common; you can store up to 100 locations for each handset and up to 50 locations for the base. A Caller ID message is not stored when you have stored 100 of the phonebook locations in the handset (or 50 locations in the base). When you have stored 100 of the phonebook locations and Caller ID messages in the handset (or 50 in the base) in total, the earliest Caller ID message is overwritten. To relieve strain on the DC plug when the phone is placed on a desk or table, wrap the power cord around the strain relief notch on the bottom of the base.
