Deleting an outgoing message To delete the personal outgoing message, press announces "greeting has been deleted". The system Setting the base ringer volume If you receive an incoming call or press talk/flash, (talk), or the operation will be canceled. You have three ringer options. Using the Menu Mode The Menu mode allows you to set the following Answering System functions. · To scroll through the menu options, repeatedly press menu on the base in the standby mode. · If you press talk/flash, (talk), or during the menu setup, the operation will be canceled. If the system remains idle for 30 seconds, you will hear a beep and the system returns to standby. · You can use or to adjust the announcement volume level during a voice prompt/guidance. · When you have completed the setting, press to exit the menu mode, or menu to move to the next menu option. For your convenience, voice prompts will guide you through the menu setup mode. · When you press in the maximum volume level (9) or in lowest volume level (0), an error tone sounds. · Press and hold or on the base to scroll quickly through the volume levels. Setting "TS" (Toll Saver), the answering system picks up after two rings if you have new messages, and after four rings if there are none. This way, if you make a long distance call to check your messages, you can hang up after the second ring to avoid billing charges. The current ring time setting is announced (" " 2, " " 4, " " 6, " " Toll saver), and it appears on the base.
