(PIN) If you want to be able to play your messages from a remote location, you need to enter a two-digit Personal Identification Number (PIN) code (01-99). To select a PIN, perform the following steps: ) With the phone in standby, press [menu/clock] twice. The system announces "Security code, " and the current PIN code is announced as it is displayed on the base. 2) Press [volume/select/ ] or [volume/select/ ] until the desired number appears. Time The ring time setting allows you to set the number of rings the caller hears before your answering machine plays the outgoing message. If you select Toll Saver [ ], the answering machine picks up after two rings if you have new messages, and after four rings if there are none. This way, if you make a long distance call to check your messages, you can hang up after the second ring to avoid billing charges.
