[. . . ] When the cellular number of the CPE ONE is called while the unit is in telco mode, the Line Sensor will switch to the cellular mode of operation. In this case, a telephone connected to the PHONE jack of the CPE ONE will ring and you can answer the cellular call. This allows for the convenient check-out of the cellular operating mode. [. . . ] Select wall mounting fasteners that will support the fourpound weight of the CPE ONE plus cables to be attached. Operation The CPE ONE is designed to operate with only a few controls. To turn the CPE ONE on, make sure that the slide switch is in the ENABLE position. Then connect the included power cable to the 12 VDC receptacle of the CPE ONE . After a delay of 5 seconds, the power LED will light up and the CPE ONE is ready to operate a telephone or appropriate data equipment plugged into the RJ11 jack marked PHONE. Plug the enclosed Motorola handset into the RJ45 jack marked PROG and follow the enclosed Motorola NAM programming instructions. To program the CPE ONE in Test mode, turn off the power and slide the switch to the DISABLE position. If a battery backup module is used, disconnect the module from the CPE ONE . Power the unit up using the AC adapter and follow the Motorola instructions for Test mode programming using the included Motorola cellular handset. When programming has been completed, turn off the power to the CPE ONE , remove the cellular handset, and slide the switch to the ENABLE position. After powering up from the AC adapter, the CPE ONE is ready for operation. If a battery backup module is used, it can now be connected to the CPE ONE . Line Sensor Your CPE ONE is equipped with the TransTel Line Sensor. [. . . ] In the absence of dial tone, the Line Sensor will switch to the "cellular line" in less than one second. If use of the telco line is restored or if the telco line is connected again, the Line Sensor will switch (indicated by fast on-off blinking of the yellow POWER LED) the CPE ONE to the telco line mode of operation within five seconds provided a telephone connected to the RJ11 jack marked PHONE is in the on-hook condition. This means that the Line Sensor will not interrupt a call in progress or switch to the telco mode of operation if the "cellular line" is off-hook. Page 3 Page 2 [. . . ]
