To enter text using the software keyboard: MAC Address You can view the fixed MAC address for the TV and for the Dual Band WLAN Adaptor, if one is installed. a b c In the PREFERENCES menu, highlight Network Setup and press Q. Press B or b to highlight MAC Address, and press a b c d Highlight the desired character on the on-screen software keyboard. Press the BLUE button to close the software keyboard and return to the previous screen. NOTE: If RETURN is pressed, changes are not saved and the software keyboard window is closed. The text will remain as it was before starting the keyboard. Q. Network Connection Test (VL series only) This function checks the Internet connectivity. a b In the PREFERENCES menu, highlight Network Setup and press Q. A message will appear to indicate if the connection was successful or if it could not be completed. NOTE: The result of Network Connection Test does not always guarantee the connection. Depending on the situation, YouTube may not be able to be used. Q 0-9 BbCc CC cc Z z RED GREEN YELLOW BLUE RETURN 37 CONTROLS AND FEATURES English Setting up the Media Renderer feature Terminology: DMS: DLNA CERTIFIEDTM Server DMR: DLNA CERTIFIEDTM Renderer DMC: DLNA CERTIFIEDTM Controller h Change the password by using the Software Keyboard (see page 37), and then press the BLUE button. NOTE: The Web Password can be up to 15 characters long. i j k l m Highlight Done, and then press Q. If you want to limit access from unexpected DMCs, press C or c to select On, and then press Q. If you want to proceed with registration of DMCs, press C or c to select Yes, and then press Q. The selection of the media is done by the DMC - the TV does not select the input. The TV can play photo, movie, or audio files when operating as a DMR. Installation You can configure the DMR settings individually, or use Installation mode to be prompted for each setting in order. a In the PREFERENCES menu, highlight Media Renderer Setup and press Q. C or c to adjust to the desired volume. Then, press Q. The device name can be confirmed from the DMC. b c d e Press B or b to highlight Installation, and press Q. If you want to change the device name as a Renderer, highlight the Device Name field and press Q. NOTE: The Device Name can be up to 127 characters long. a b c d In the PREFERENCES menu, highlight Media Renderer Setup and press Q. NOTE: The Device Name can be up to 127 characters long. f g Highlight Done, and then press Q. If you want to change the password, press C or c to select Yes, and then press Q. e Highlight Done, and then press Q. 38 CONTROLS AND FEATURES English Web Password Setup This setup determines the password that is necessary for the DMC to access built-in web pages on the DMR. Maximum Volume Setup This feature allows you to set the maximum volume of the TV when it receives volume operation commands from a DMC. a In the Media Renderer Setup menu, highlight Web Password Setup, and press Q.
