[. . . ] Click the icon with the primary mouse button to display a list of regions that the modem supports. A check will appear next to the currently selected region and telephony location. Select a region from the region menu or a telephony location from the submenu. When you click a region it becomes the modem's region selection, and the New Location for telephony will be set automatically. When you select a telephony location, the corresponding region is automatically selected and it becomes the modem's current region setting. Leave the AC adaptor connected while using this feature. Connecting LAN cable The computer must be configured properly before connecting to a LAN. Logging onto a LAN using the computer's default settings could cause a malfunction in LAN operation. If you are using Fast Ethernet LAN (100 Mbit/s, 100BASE-TX), be sure to connect with a category 5 cable, CAT5, or higher.
