The remote control helps you navigate the Media Center windows on your screen, just as a cable TV remote control navigates cable TV options or controls the playback of a movie in a VCR or DVD player. If the computer is running Windows or Media Center, pressing Power turns off the computer. Record -- Records the selected television program and stores it on your hard disk. Volume Control -- Increases (up arrow) or decreases (down arrow) the volume. Guide -- Opens the Television Program guide to display available TV channels and programs to watch and record. Pause -- Pauses an audio or video track, and live or recorded TV programs.
