TV/CABLE MODE SELECTION When shipped from the factory, the TV/CABLE selection is set to the "CABLE" (Cable Television) position. If not using Cable TV, set this selection to the "TV" position. The clock will count down 10 minutes for each press SLEEP (120, 110, . . . 10, 0). After the sleep time is programmed, the display will appear briefly every ten minutes to remind you that the sleep timer is operating. Closed captioning will display text on the screen for hearing impaired viewers. CHANNEL RETURN CHANNEL RETURN allows you to go back to the last channel selected by pressing CHANNEL RETURN. Press this button again to return to the last channel you were watching. CLOSED CAPTION CHANNEL RETURN CH 012 CAPTION CH 1 NOTES: If using an indoor antenna or if TV reception is very poor, the closed caption decoder text may not appear. In this case, adjust the antenna for better reception or use an outdoor antenna. When activating the closed captioned decoder, there will be a short delay before the closed captioned text appears on the screen. Closed captioned TV programs can be recorded and played back on a VCR with the closed captioned text intact. The closed captioning text will disappear during cue, rewind and pause modes or if the VCR tracking is not adjusted properly. Closed captioned text is only displayed in locations where it is available. Closed captioning will display text on the screen for hearing impaired viewers or it will translate and display text in another language. CLOSED CAPTIONING WITH A VCR Closed captioned programs can be recorded and played back on a VCR with the closed captioned text intact. Limited Two (2) Year Warranty of Picture Tube TACP further warrants the picture tube in this product against defects in materials or workmanship for a period of two (2) years after the date of original retail purchase. During this period, TACP will replace a defective picture tube without charge to you except that if a defective picture tube is replaced after ninety (90) days from the date of the original retail purchase, you pay labor charges involved in the replacement. You are responsible for all transportation and insurance charges for the set to and from the Service Station. Rental Units The warranty for rental units begins with the first rental or thirty (30) days from the date of shipment to the rental firm, whichever comes first. Commercial Units Products sold and used for commercial use have a limited ninety (90) day warranty for all parts, labor and picture tube.
