The on screen message “Retention limit expired” means that the time limit for viewing the program has lapsed. • Programmed recording cannot take place if the power plug is not connected. • Disconnecting the power plug during recording may result in failure to save the recorded programme. • When the USB HDD is formatted, all the data stored on the HDD will be erased. Media Renderer Setup The TV can be configured as a Media Renderer(DMR). The TV can play photo, movie, or audio files when operating as a DMR. a b c In the Preferences menu, press B or b to select Network Device Setup and press OK. Press B or b to select Media Renderer and press C or c to select On. If request come from DMC, prompt will appear and DMR will start. To exit the Media Renderer: Press EXIT. Terminology DMS: DLNA CERTIFIED™ Server DMR: DLNA CERTIFIED™ Renderer DMC: DLNA CERTIFIED™ Controller NOTE: You cannot use 3D function in operating as a DMR. Device Name Setup The TV’s device name can be changed. a b c d In the Preferences menu, press B or b to select Network Device Setup and press OK. NOTE: The Device Name can be up to 15 characters long. e Highlight Done and press OK to save your setting. 47 CONTROLS AND FEATURES English Setting up the USB HDD for recording To connect an USB HDD (not supplied): USB1 or USB2 on the TV How to set recordings via the Programme Guide Programmed recording can be scheduled easily using the Programme Guide or by specifying the date and time. PLEASE NOTE When a timed programme is about to start, an information screen will appear offering the option of watching or cancelling the programme. Other channels will not be available during the timed programme unless the programme timer is cancelled. USB cable (not supplied) USB HDD It will only be possible to create or edit programme timers for the currently tuned DTV input. When you connect a USB HDD to the USB port on the TV, a prompt will appear. Using the Programme Guide to set future recordings a Press C or c to select No and press OK. a NOTE: Not guaranteed to work with all USB HDD. To record DTV programmes (One Touch Recording) To record the programme currently being viewed. Press the GUIDE button on the remote control (or select TV Programmes / Guide menu from the menu system) to display the Electronic Programme Guide (EPG). The Edit Timer menu will appear. To change the order in which the titles are listed, press the BLUE button. To protect or unprotect a recorded programme: Protecting a programme prevents it from being accidentally deleted. Select the title of the programme you want to protect and press the GREEN button. If Protect is set to On when the programme is recorded, icon appears next to the title of the recorded programme. When a title with icon is selected and the GREEN button is pressed, icon disappears and the programme is unprotected. c Press OK. When the title currently being recorded is selected and OK is pressed, playback will start from the beginning of the programme currently being recorded.
