When you select Game mode, suitable widescreen formats will be selected. · PC mode is available in RGB/PC input mode or HDMI input mode. Picture Position The picture position may be adjusted to suit personal preference and can be particularly useful for external inputs. a In the SETUP menu press b until Picture Position is highlighted. Press B and b to select an option, then C or c to adjust the settings. The options alter depending on currently selected widescreen format and the input signal. NOTE: The picture mode you select affects the current input only. You can select a different picture mode for each input. Picture preferences You can customise current picture mode settings as desired. For example, while selecting "Dynamic, " if you change the following items, such as Backlight, Contrast, Brightness, Colour, Tint, Sharpness and the Advanced Picture Settings items, your new setting is saved as the same name "Dynamic. " To return to the original factory settings select Reset in the Picture Position menu and press Q. a b In the PICTURE menu press b to select either Backlight, Contrast, Brightness, Colour, Tint or Sharpness and press Q. Press C or c to adjust the settings. 23 CONTROLS AND FEATURES English Reset This feature resets all picture settings to the factory settings except Picture Mode. NOTE: If any picture settings have not been changed, Reset is not available. c Press C or c to select Hue, Saturation or Brightness, then press B or b to adjust the settings as required. Colour Temperature Colour Temperature increases the `warmth' or `coolness' of the picture by increasing the red or blue tint. a b In the PICTURE menu press b to select Advanced Picture Settings and press Q. Press b to select 3D Colour Management. Saturation 0 0 0 0 0 0 Brightness 0 0 0 0 0 0 24 CONTROLS AND FEATURES English Auto Brightness Senser Settings When Auto Brightness Senser Settings is activated it will automatically optimise the backlighting levels to suit ambient light conditions. Black/White Level Black/White Level increases the strength of dark areas of the picture to improve the definition. a b In the Advanced Picture Settings menu press b to select Auto Brightness Senser Settings and press a b In the Advanced Picture Settings menu press b to select Black/White Level. The effect depends on the broadcast and is most noticeable on dark colours. Q. Press C or c to select On and press Q. Auto Brightness Sensor Settings Auto Brightness Sensor Backlight Adjustment Pro On Static Gamma The static gamma feature allows you to adjust the levels of black in the picture. c d e Press b to select Backlight Adjustment Pro and press Q. Press C or c to adjust the level. MPEG NR ­ Noise Reduction When watching a DVD the compression may cause some words or picture elements to become distorted or pixelated. Using the MPEG NR feature reduces this effect by smoothing out the edges. 48 a Cancel Reset Control Level In the Advanced Picture Settings menu press b to select Noise Reduction and press Q.
