The speakerphone is deactivated. 24 Making calls Muting While on a call you can consult someone else in the room without the person on the other end of the phone being able to hear. 1. Press . The microphone icon " " flashes. The handset microphone or speakerphone, as appropriate, is enabled once again. You can resume your call. 2. Press 25 Making calls Using the headset To activate and deactivate a connected headset, use the space key. This does require use of the headset to be enabled however (see general settings). The call is disconnected. By lifting the handset you can also transfer the call to the handset. You can press the key to transfer the call from the handset to the headset. By pressing the loudspeaker key a call through the headset can also be monitored on the phone. If you press the space key after the loudspeaker key, the call is transferred from the headset to the speakerphone. It is also possible to transfer the call from the handset or speakerphone back to the headset. Just press the space key. Call hold / Second call You can place an active call on hold. While on hold, you can call another number to consult or answer a query. You also need "call hold" to initiate the broker's call and call transfer functions. The held call is indicated in brighter type on the display, the new call in inverted type. An additional connection is made. 2. Dial number. 26 Making calls Brokering a call The "broker's call" function enables you to switch between two calls. You are switched between the active call and the held call. Conference call With this function you can set up a conference with two other parties. You can then talk to both parties at once. Press hold. again to end the conference. The previously held call is again placed on Call transfer You are on a call and want to transfer it to another extension. The held call is indicated in brighter type on the display, the new call in inverted type. If the called party answers, you can talk to him/her as in the case of an enquiry call. [. . . ] Be sure to keep the original packaging in case you need to return it, as it provides optimum protection of your phone. Backup all your entries first (such as to a PC), to prevent loss of data. Troubleshooting Problem The IP Phone is not working. Recommendation If no DHCP server is being operated in the IP network, disable the IP Phone's DHCP Client mode and enter the IP address manually. No connection to Gatekeeper. No "Gatekeeper name"" is entered in the network configuration. [. . . ]
