[. . . ] If a two channel External Volume Control (EVC) unit is being utilized, connect the left/right analog outputs of the DAC to the corresponding left/right inputs of the two channel EVC. Then connect the left/right outputs of the EVC to the left/right inputs of the front [left/right] power amp inputs. Lastly, connect the VOLUME DATA on the Digital output section of the Casa Nova to the VOLUME jack on the EVC. This allows the master volume parameter from the Casablanca to be transmitted to the EVC, thereby controlling the volume from the DAC. When only one external DAC is being used, connect all other channels analog outputs to the inputs of their respective power amplifiers. Figure 2 shows the wiring diagram using a six channel EVC and 3 external DAC's.
