The use of a utensil smaller than the size of the element will expose a portion of the element to direct contact with the user which could result in burns. Proper relationship of utensil to element will also improve cooking efficiency. · Do not use aluminum foil to line any part of the cooktop or oven. Improper use of these liners could result in an electric shock or fire. Foil is an excellent heat insulator and heat will be trapped beneath it. · Only certain types of glass, glass/ceramic, ceramic, earthenware or other glazed utensils are suitable for cooktop service without breaking due to the sudden change in temperature. · To reduce the risk of burns, ignition of flammable materials, and spillage due to the unintentional contact with the utensil, the handle of a utensil should be positioned inward.
