[. . . ] Activate the Test Tone option whenever you are not sure that the loudspeaker of a delegate unit is working correctly. The Test Units option is useful when you initialized the delegate units and you want to test if there were all initialized correctly. The delegate units will only activate when they are known to the system. Light Ring Blink at Request Press ENTER to Save The third item in the Options menu allows you to set the behavior of the red signal ring on a delegate unit during request. You can choose to let the signal ring blink along with the green request led or you can choose to only let the green request led blink on the unit in request. The last option item enables you to adjust the vote labels used during a vote session. There are 5 different labels that can be altered each maximum 3 characters long. The first label is indicated with "++" and will be the most left label on the screen of a delegate unit when a 1 of 5 vote session is started. The last label is indicated with "- -" and is the most right label on a delegate's screen. As indicated in the picture on the left, each label can be 1, 2 or 3 characters long. Use the scroll wheel to choose the appropriate character and the ENTER button to select the character. Each time the 99 Light Ring Blink at Request Press ENTER to Save Vote Labels ++ = A ENTER Vote Labels ++ = AB ENTER Vote Labels ++ = ABC ENTER save ENTER button is pressed the cursor will be moved one place to the right. If you want to use labels with less than 3 characters then a space character has to be inserted. The space character is always the first character that is displayed after the selection of the previous character or when the menu item is entered. Note that when entering a new label, the previous label will be displayed in the bottom right corner. 100 The conference menu - example Suppose the following circumstances apply: a TCS2500 Digital Conference & Interpretation System needs to be set up in a conference room in which a meeting with 10 participants will occur. One of these participants is a chairman and the participants will have to vote during the conference. We will need up to 10 conference units for our system of which one conference unit is a chairman unit. To be able to configure this configuration we would need for instance the following hardware: one CE2500 central unit, one CMV2500 and nine DMV2500 units. Let's start setting up the system starting from a default configuration. The setup will be described one step at a time to make it easier to understand. If you feel that the discussion of the setup is too detailed, feel free to skip this section. The starting point of the steps that needs to be taken is the main screen of the central unit unless noted otherwise. Loading the default settings Start by loading the default setting for the conference desks. We start from the main menu. · Press ENTER, choose Conference.
