Insert the disk (DVD, CD) with its label facing up. Note: Please ensure the DVD/CD is inserted in a way where the plugs at the rear of the disk tray and the spring loaded plug on the front prevent the disk from falling out of the tray. This is of major importance if the drive is used in one of the vertical positions. When using an 8cm-CD disk in horizontal position, place it on the specified position at the center of the tray. Eject emergency hole
When the power is switched OFF and the eject button does NOT function, insert a metal rod (diameter of 1. 2mm or less) into this hole at a right angle to the front panel, then push the rod to eject the disk. Do this only when the device is switched off and the ON/ BUSY indicator is NOT lit. Wait more than one minute until the disk rotation is stopped when access the eject hole.

Cooling air intake port. Do not block the hole by other objects.
