If jumper pin S4 is closed (that is, if the jumper is seated on both pins), the CD-RW drive is terminated. If S4 is open (i. e. , the jumper is not seated on both pins), the CDRW drive is not terminated. The factory default setting for the CD-RW drive is closed (terminated). Warning: Failure to correctly terminate the SCSI bus may result in malfunction to the CD-RW drive. This will prevent damage to the computer or CD-RW drive that may be caused by a discharge of static electricity.
