Serial number: __________________ OWNER'S MANUAL IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS 1 Read these instructions. 8 Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus (including amplifiers) that produce heat. 9 Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. Creating new folders 5 Press the ¯ (Next) key to open the selected folder. Folders can be created to a maximum of two levels inside the SOUND folder, which is the root folder used by this unit. Use folders to organize recording sessions and categorize music tracks, for example. 2 Use the +/­ keys to select the FILE/FOLDER menu item. (See "Setting external input" on page 41. ) Adjusting the input level Using the auto gain control function Set the REC LEVEL switch on the right side panel to LOW or HIGH. Recording with an external device (MIC/ EXT. IN) Connect the output of an external audio device to the unit's MIC/EXT.
