InstallationofthePCICardisdonein6steps: · Disconnectthepowerfromyourcomputerandremoveallcablesconnectedtoyourcomputer · Ensureyouarefreeofstaticelectricity, thiscanbedonebytouchingthebaremetalofanearthedobjectsuchasa  central heating pipe or water tap · Openyourcomputer, ifyouareunsurehowtodothis, consultyourcomputer'soperatingorservicemanual. · LocateafreePCIslotandifnecessaryremovethechassisbackplatefortheslot. · Insertthecardstraightintotheslotasindicatedinthepicturebelow. Avoidtouchinganyofthecard'sgolden  contactpins:

· Useascrewtosecurethecard'sbrackettoyourcomputer'schassis. Notethatsomecomputersmayuseother means of securing the card in place.
