The Sub-Zero Model 648PROG side-by-side refrigerator / freezer with glass door is available in the stainless steel design application with classic stainless steel finish only. Model 648PROG can be built-in or, with the free-standing accessory kit, used in a free-standing application. Of course, the true beauty of the Model 648PROG becomes apparent not in pictures or words but in its use. Precision-built, auto-close hinges help doors swing open and easily and tap shut effortlessly. [. . . ] In flush built-in installations, the front of the face frame will be flush with surrounding cabinetry. The depth of Model 648PROG from the back of the unit to the front of the face frame is 25 7/8" (657). In flush built-in applications, your design may necessitate moving the unit back, or cabinets forward to achieve a flush fit. The anti-tip bracket must be installed to prevent the unit from tipping forward. Allow the doors to open a minimum of 90° or you'll have problems removing shelves. With the door opening at 90°, you may have to move shelves slightly to clear the door interior. Refer to the minimum door swing clearance in the specifications chart. For corner installations, allow for a minimum 3" (76) filler so that the door can open to 90°. Model 648PROG comes with an automatic ice maker and an integrated water filtration system. This system operates on water pressure between 35 psi (2. 4 bar) and 120 psi (8. 3 bar). To rough in the water supply, connect a 1/4" OD copper line to the house supply, being sure to use an easily accessible shut-off valve between the supply and the unit.
