Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] FOREWORD This manual has been prepared to acquaint you with the operation and maintenance of your new REXTON and to provide important safety information. We urge you to read it carefully and follow the recommendations to help assure the most enjoyable, safe, and trouble-free operation of your vehicle. When it comes to service, remember that your SSANGYONG dealer knows your vehicle best and is interested in your complete satisfaction. We would like to take this opportunity to thank you for choosing REXTON and assure you of our continuing interest in your motoring pleasure and satisfaction. [. . . ] Pull up the seat back folding ring (1) located on the top of the seat and fold the seat back forward completely. 3. Release the seat rear protector and fold forward. The third row seat for 2 persons should be restricted by 50kg per person. 414 SEAT AND RESTRAINT FULL FLATTING THE SEAT SEAT BELT PRECAUTIONS To protect you and your passengers in the event of an accident, it is compulsory that the seat belts are worn by all occupants while the vehicle is in use. Each seat belt is designed to be used by only one person at a time : they are not suitable for use by children below 6 years of age. Release the locking device for seat back protector in second seat. 5. WARNING CAUTION To take a rest after making a bed, stop the vehicle to the safe place and block the wheels. Occupants could be injured seriously in collisions or sudden maneuvers. · Do not wear seat belt over hard or breakable objects in pockets or on clothing. SEAT AND RESTRAINT 415 WARNING · Seatbelts are designed to bear upon the bony structure of the body and should be worn low across the front of the pelvis or the pelvis, chest and shoulders, as applicable; wearing the lap section of the belt across the abdominal area must be avoided. · Seatbelts should be adjusted as firmly as possible, consistent with comfort, to provide the protection for which they have been designed. A slack belt will greatly reduce the protection afforded to the wearer. · Care should be taken to avoid contamination of the webbing with polishes, oils and chemicals, and particularly battery acid. The belt should be replaced if webbing becomes frayed, contaminated or damaged. WARNING · It is essential to replace the entire assembly after it has been worn in a severe impact even if damage to the assembly is not obvious. · "EACH BELT ASSEMBLY MUST ONLY BE USED BY ONE OCCUPANT; it is dangerous to put a belt around a child being carried on the occupant's lap. " · No modifications or additions should be made by the user which will either prevent the seat belt adjusting devices from operating to remove slack, or prevent the seat belt assembly from being adjusted to remove slack. CAUTION Improper use of seat belt can cause more serious injury. · Do not add adjusting device which restrict removing slack. CAUTION Damaged seat belts can cause more serious injury. · Never let the seat belt system become damaged by a door or seat. 416 SEAT AND RESTRAINT WHEN USING THE SEAT BELTS To help reduce the risk of personal injury in collisions or sudden maneuvers, use the seat belts following these instructions on their proper use maintenance, and use with child restraint systems. WARNING WARNING CARE OF SEAT BELTS High-positioned lap belts and loose fitting shoulder belts both could increase the chance of injury or death due to sliding under the lap belt during an accident. Always keep the seat belts clean and dry. Care should be taken to avoid contamination of the webbing with polishes, oils and chemicals, and particularly battery acid. Make sure that the belt is not damaged or trapped by sharp edged objects. Periodically inspect all parts of the belts and have damaged parts replaced. A belt which has been overstretched in an accident must be replaced by a new one. Ssangyong recommends replacing all component parts of the seat belts in use during a collision. No replacement is required after a minor collision if a Ssangyong Dealer or Ssangyong Authorized Service Operation finds that no damage has occurred and judges everything to be in proper working order. Seat belts and components that were not in use during the collision must also be inspected and replaced if they show signs of damage or faulty operation. Improperly worn seat belts could cause serious injury or death. · Shoulder belt should be positioned midway over the shoulder (never across neck).
