INSERT 1" BY 2 FOOT LONG MILD STEEL RODS IN HOLES PROVIDED ON INDIVIDUAL SECTIONS OF TOWER. USE COME-ALONG MINIMUM 2 TON CAPACITY CHAIN COME-ALONG IS REQUIRED ON EACH SIDE. DRAW SECTIONS TOGETHER UNTIL DESIGN SLIP LENGTH IS ACQUIRED OR CHAIN COME-ALONG REACHES MAXIMUM STRAIN. Aswith the previous U-Bolt clip, tighten the nuts evenly, alternating from one nut to the other until reaching 30 lb-ft (41 N-m) of torque. ·InstallthethirdU-Boltclipmidwaybetweentheotherclipsandtighten the nuts to 30 lb-ft (41 N-m) of torque. ·Applyaloadtothecableequalorgreaterthanthemaximumanticipated load (DO NOT USE THE TOWER AND TURBINE AS THE LOAD) and retighten the nuts to 30 lb-ft (41 N-m) of torque. This step is very important as the cable may stretch and shrink in diameter when a load is applied effectively loosing the U-Bolt clip nuts.
