Commonly the Pulsar S/PDIF output would best be routed to Stereo Input 2, or the 2 Track Tape Return input. NOTE Assigning a digital source to an input will override an analogue signal, if present. Press <MENU> to enter the menu pages, scroll through the pages until the `SPDIF I/P Setup' is highlighted and press <ENTER>. Using the encoder, select the destination for the S/PDIF input, press <ENTER> to set and <MENU> to return to the menu pages. If the S/PDIF input is not required, NOWHERE should be selected in the menu. Open the Pulsar environment and select `Samplerate Settings' from the `Window' dropdown menu, or the open the samplerate settings from the icon on the Windows Taskbar. If the optional syncplate is not connected, the Pulsar must slave to the clock on one of its ADAT or S/PDIF inputs. Set the Pulsar to Slave in the Samplerate Settings window, and select ADAT 1, ADAT 2 or S/PDIF as the source. 3 NOTE If a device other than the 328 is connected to the Pulsar S/PDIF input, the Pulsar must be set to receive Wordclock from this device. If also multitracking with both ADAT ports connected to the 328, the 328 must also clock to this source. The Wordclock output of the optional syncplate (if fitted) must then be connected to the 328 Wordclock input and the 328 set to External: BNC. [. . . ] When used with other manufacturers' equipment or software, the relevant manuals should be consulted.
