[. . . ] Posséder une console SPIRIT vous fait bénéficier de la compétence et du support du leader en matière de console en sappuyant sur plus de 23 années dexpérience. Most of the sound sources you use with your Powerpad will plug into one of the Mono Inputs. These inputs accept microphones, keyboards or other electronic instruments, and give control of signal level, EQ and the position of the sound in the stereo output. Using professional balanced mics will help prevent interference, and if these are condenser mics they will probably need the 48V (see page 6) turned on. [. . . ] This control allows you to create a separate mono mix of each channel to send to an external effects or reverb unit. The send comes after the volume control (post fade) so that it follows changes in channel level. Adjusts the relative level of the left and right sides of your source with this control. When the knob is turned fully left or right you feed only that side of the signal to the mix. You should try to work with this knob near to the 0 mark to give a good range of control, and adjust the GAIN if necessary. These jacks feed the output of the internal 35W (RMS) power amplifiers to suitable loudspeakers of impedance 49 or greater. Output level is set by either the MASTER or MONITOR AMP/ HEADPHONES controls, depending on the position of the MIX/MON switch, which selects either MIX or MONITOR as the source for the amplifiers. These jacks allow you to take the combined mix of all of your sources to an external amplifier and PA speakers for applications which require greater output power than the internal amplifiers. If you want to send to speakers and a DAT recorder at the same time, connect your speakers to Right & Left Outputs and the DAT to the Master Mix outputs. This switch selects the source for the internal power amplifiers and is normally the master MIX (switch released). When the switch is pressed the source is the Headphones (Monitor) signal, but this is automatically cut off if headphones are plugged in. The power amplifiers incorporate circuitry to protect against clipping and overheating. If the THERMAL LED illuminates you should reduce output levels or improve ventilation to avoid the possibility of the amplifiers shutting down completely. If the CLIP PROTECT LED illuminates you should reduce input or output signal levels to a correct working level with the AVG LED glowing. The amplifier outputs are automatically isolated if a significant DC offset is detected, either due to clipping or a fault situation. The output level is set by the MASTER control, which should be set to the 0 mark for maximum level control (see also page 13 for tips on setting up your inputs). Adjust the input Level controls to give a suitable output level, with the AVG LEDs glowing. These jacks allow the output of an effects unit or any other stereo line level source to be fed back to the mixer and combined with the rest of the stereo mix, without using up valuable input channels. The input is unbalanced, and the jacks are connected so that a mono effect can be plugged into the left jack only and automatically fed to both left and right sides of the mix. The combined mix of all of the input channel Aux (Post) sends can be taken from this jack to your effects units input. the output level will depend on the settings of the individual Aux (Post) controls. Two separate unbalanced RCA phonos are available to connect the output from a stereo tape machine, DAT recorder, CD player or computer sound card and feed it to the headphones or monitors, and the meters. [. . . ] Thermal LED On and Clip Protect LED Off with no output to Speakers - The amplifier has shut down due to overheating. Check that the unit has adequate ventilation, that operating levels are set correctly and that the speaker load is 49 or greater. 48V Power Often called Phantom Power, this is a way of adding voltage to a condenser microphone or active DI (Direct Injection) box, to power the internal preamplifier circuits without the need for batteries. Balanced a way of connecting equipment which balances the sound signal between two wires and a screen which carries no signal. [. . . ]
