1. Note The volume control buttons and muting button on the keyboard are available only while the PC is running. With the HDMI/VIDEO function activated, the buttons are disabled.

Charging a USB Device How to Use

You can charge a USB device even while your VAIO computer is off, in Hibernate mode, or Sleep mode by enabling the USB charging settings. Change the settings while the USB device is disconnected from the USB port that supports USB charging. If charging does not start even when you connect a USB device to the USB port that supports USB charging, disconnect and connect the device. The i. LINK connection may not be available depending on the software applications, operating system, and i. LINK-compatible devices you use. Check the working conditions and operating system compatibility of i. LINK-compatible PC peripherals (for example, an HDD or a CD-RW drive) before you connect them to your computer.

Connecting a Digital Video Camcorder with an i. LINK Cable
You can connect an i. LINK device such as a digital video camcorder, to the i. LINK port on your VAIO computer. The procedure to establish an i. LINK connection and import images from a digital video camcorder varies depending on the i. LINK device or software application. Refer to the manual that came with your i. LINK device for more information. Connect your VAIO computer and digital video camcorder with an i. LINK cable (not supplied).
Note The i. LINK port on your VAIO computer does not supply power to the i. LINK device. Therefore, a connected i. LINK device that requires external power may not work properly. However, the actual transfer rate will depend on the transfer rate of the external device. The optional i. LINK cables may not be available in some countries or regions.
