Hardware Installation Read this section to learn how to install the camera and connect it to a network. Assembling the Stand (Mounting Bracket) The camera can be assembled in two different ways; either from the top of the unit or the bottom. Assemble the stand and fix it to the camera as shown. Use the three screws and plugs provided to fix the stand bracket to a wall, ceiling or other stable and convenient fixing point. The stand can be adjusted manually to allow the camera a full 360º of rotation and a pan and tilt action. Follow the above steps to mount from the base of the unit, attaching the stand bracket to the mounting point on the base of the unit. Warnings Ensure the camera is fixed securely otherwise it may fall and cause injury. The camera is not waterproof and should not be mounted outside or in a position where it could become wet. 26 Connecting to a Network The IP camera can be connected to an Ethernet network using the RJ-45 port as shown. Connect the camera to an Ethernet hub or switch using a standard cable. You can also connect the camera directly to a computer using the supplied cable. Connecting Power Connect the power adapter to the DC-IN socket on the camera as shown. Warnings Use only the supplied power adapter with the camera. Using another adapter is not recommended and may damage the camera, invalidating the warranty. 27 B. IPCamera Manager Server version ­ Installation Easy to Install Insert CD Input Software License Select Setup Type Select Feature Select Recording Folder Finish STEP 1: STEP 2: Please insert IPCamera Manager CD into CD-ROM drive. Select a language. STEP 3: The Installshield Wizard will verify if Internet Information Service (IIS) is installed on your system. If not, you can continue installing the application but you will not be able to use the WEB monitoring feature without IIS. To Install IIS, do the following: 1. Go to Control Panel Add/Remove Program Click Add/Remove Windows Component Check Internet Information Services (IIS) Click "Next". Click "Finish". Select a setup type and Choose Destination Location or click "Next" to continue STEP 6: Specify the Destination Folder; you may click "Browse. . . " to select a folder other than the default one. Click "Next" to continue. [Note]The default location is deemed adequate for most situations; it is recommended that you use the default location. 29 STEP 7: Select the features you want to install. [Note] Main Component is a required component. IIS will need to be installed to support the Web Component. STEP 8: Select folder locations to store video recordings and input the size of the storage needed. Please make sure to have enough free storage available on the hard drive/s where the folders will be located. STEP 9: Click "Next" to continue installation. 30 STEP 10: Please review the configuration you have chosen and click "Next" to accept these settings to continue. [Note] The installation process may take several minutes to complete, depending on the specifications of your computer system. STEP 11: Click "Finish" to complete the setup. IPCamera Manager icon should appear lower-right corner of the taskbar. Note If the application does not start automatically, please restart your computer. Congratulations!IPCamera Manager Client version ­ Installation Please insert the CD into CD-ROM drive. (2) Rest of the steps are same as installing the Server version. 31 B. IPCamera Manager ­ Uninstall Click Start Control Panel Add or Remove Programs STEP 1: Select "Change/ Remove" to remove IPCamera Manager from your system. STEP 2: Select "Remove". Monitor The Monitor submenu enables you to playback and convert recorded video clips to playable video format.
