Gateway Address MAC-based Assignment Enter the IP default gateway of the IP address pool. You can assign the IP addresses in the LAN to specific PCs based on their MAC address. Click Show Client in the DHCP Server Setup page, and the page as shown in the following figure appears. In this page, you can view the IP address assigned to each DHCP client. 22 The following table describes the parameters and buttons in this page. Field IP Address Description It displays the IP address of the DHCP leased client. It displays the MAC address of the DHCP client (for example, computer). The MAC address is assigned at the factory and it consists of six pairs of hexadecimal character. Click MAC-based Assignment in the DHCP Server Setup page. In this page, you can assign the IP addresses in the LAN to the specific individual PCs based on their MAC address.
