If your device does not recognize the SD Card when inserted, you would need to format the SD Card in the device itself. Please refer to the User Guide of your device for basic formatting instructions of the SD Card in the device. Caution: Please note that you cannot format the card, if the mechanical write protect switch is in the "Lock" position. To enable formatting of the card, please slide up the write protect switch back to the normal position. If you wish to format the card in the computer, please refer to the following instructions.
