This data must be compatible to avoid possible damage to the appliance. Make sure that the appliance's connection cable is not damaged and is not laying over hot surfaces and/or sharp edges. 5 V batteries (type R6/LR6/AA/Mignon) you avoid losing the programmed time of day and wake time in the event of mains power loss. The batteries make sure that the internal clock continues to run even during a power outage. When power is restored the correct time appears automatically in the display 2 .
