Cleaning the exterior of the appliance, the control panel and the feed pipes . [. . . ] i If the programme is altered by turning the programme selector or if it is halted, the deferred start time programme is also halted. The display panel will show the duration of the newly selected programme, and the start time will need to be re-programmed (for more on this, see sections Altering a programme, page33 and Halting a programme, page33). i While a deferred start time is set, you can put articles into the machine at any time. Close the machine's door. 31 Child safety lock You can secure the machine against its programmed functions being accidentally altered. When the child safety lock is activated: - the wash programme that has been set cannot be altered, - the G symbol comes on if the selected programme is changed, - any wash programme that is running will disconnect and reconnect, and then continue from the point at which it was stopped, - whenever a deferred start time has been set, articles may be put into the machine at any time. Activating the child safety lock q Set the programme selector to the programme that you want to select, choose any additional settings that you might need. i Release the Start button. Example for the programme Synthetics 40 ºC: q Press the Start button; keep it pressed down (approx. Deactivating the child safety lock To make any alterations to programmes, or to end a programme using the «---» option, the child safety lock has to be deactivated beforehand. i The child safety lock will remain activated if there is a malfunction or if the electricity supply gets cut off. 32 During the wash Altering the selected wash programme If the wrong wash programme has been selected: q Temporarily deactivate the child safety lock if it is activated; for more on this see the explanation on page 32. q Set the programme selector to the position for the programme that is now required. If the pre-wash option is selected afterwards, the programme selector has to be set to the Stop position and the wash programme has to be re-selected. i The altered programme begins running from the previous programme phase that was interrupted, but with the new settings. q If you wish to do so, reactivate the child safety lock (see page 32). Interrupting a programme that is running If you want to end a programme that is running and take the laundry out of the machine: q If the child safety lock is activated, it should be deactivated; see page32. If necessary, select the spin speed ( do not select the option «---» (Stop after the last rinse!)). i If a programme is halted that is running with the wash water at a very high temperature, you should select the K function to allow the laundry to cool down. 33 q Press the Start button. i If a wash programme is halted that is running with the wash water at a very high temperature, the appliance's door may remain locked until the inside has cooled down properly. 34 After the wash cycle has finished i Display panel: - all the symbols for the programme's progress status have gone out; the panel shows the indicator bar to be completely filled in, - the programme duration will show as 0 , - if the child safety lock is activated, the G symbol will be lit up, - if a lot of foam has been detected during the wash, the : symbol will be lit up. q Set the programme selector to the Stop position. or The option --- (Stop after the last rinse) has been selected i Display panel: - The current programme status indicator will show the B symbol and the indicator bar will be completely filled in, - the programme duration will show as «---». - if the child safety lock is activated, the G symbol will be lit up, - if a lot of foam has been detected during the wash, the : symbol will be lit up. q If necessary, deactivate the child safety lock. 35 q Select an additional programme b or additional spin B. When the additional programme has finished: q If necessary, activate the child safety lock. q Close the tap. Taking the laundry out of the drum q Open the door. If the door will not open: wait for two minutes (the security function is active) or there is still water in the machine because the «---» option (Stop after the last rinse) has been activated. Important Remove foreign or metal objects (clips, staples, coins etc. ) that may have gathered inside the drum or in the rubber seal. Danger of rust! [. . . ] Where there is doubt, the machine connection should be made by a field technician. Be careful that the feed hose - does not get bent or trapped, - and is not altered or cut (its mechanical resistance may be diminished). 10 bar ( when the tap is fully open, around 8 litres of water should run out in a minute). - If pressure is higher than this, a pressure-reducing valve must be inserted between the appliance and the water supply.
