[. . . ] TUNING UP/DOWN (/, +/-) BUTTONS Press these buttons to tune in the desired stations. PRESET UP/DOWN (/, +/-) BUTTONS Press this button to select the preset stations. PRESET SCAN BUTTON Press this button to scan the stations in the preset sequence. MODE BUTTON Each time this button is pressed, the mode changes as follows : SPEAKER (TONE : ON BASS TREBLE) or BALANCE ( TONE : OFF) 21. SELECT KNOB At the desired mode, rotate this knob to adjust it as desired. RDS BUTTONS (Regional option for Europe, etc. ) Use these buttons when listening to RDS broadcast. CD PLAYER SECTION - to stop play - to pause play - to begin play REPEAT - to play a track, disc, etc. repeatedly REPEAT A/B - to play a specific part (A to B)repeatedly - to skip backward or forward , 8. SPEAKER A, B SELECTOR BUTTONS/INDICATORS These buttons allow you to select various combinations of speakers as follows: To drive A speakers, press only the SPEAKER A button ("A" indicator lights up). To drive B speakers, press only the SPEAKER B button ("B" indicator lights up). To drive both A and B speakers, press the SPEAKER A and B buttons. ("A" and "B" indicators light up). When using headphones for private listening, press these buttons to switch off the speaker A and B ("A" and "B" indicators go off). DIMMER BUTTON Press this button to select the brightness of the fluorescent displays as desired. Each time this button is pressed, the brightness of all fluorescent displays of this unit and Sherwood CD player shch as CD-772, etc. connected by the DIGI LINK changes together as follows: ON dimmer OFF 10. SLEEP BUTTON Press this button to activate the sleep timer for a specified period of time. When adjusting the volume, the mutting effect is turned off. 7. To listen with the headphones. Adjust the tone (treble and bass) as desired. When adjusting the treble When you select the tone on mode, you can listen to a program source with the tone effect you adjusted. When pressing the TREBLE UP/DOWN(/) or BASS UP/DOWN(/) buttons, the tone level can be adjusted within the range of -10 ~ +10. In general, the bass and treble levels are adjusted to 0. Adjusting the modes as desired You can adjust the speaker, the tone and the balance modes as desired. 1. Select the desired mode. A B A + B OFF You can switch on or off the desired speakers. When adjusting the TONE mode. OFF : To listen to a program source without the tone effect. ON : To listen with the tone effect you adjusted.
