To return to Auto Shutter Speed mode
Press j in step 4 above to display "AUTO".
The shutter speed is preset to auto mode, which automatically selects the optimal shutter speed for the ambient light. However, depending on the subject or situation, you may want to set the shutter speed manually to create a high-quality picture.
To return to Full Auto mode
Set the camcorder to Full Auto mode (see page 63).

The faster the shutter speed, the darker the picture becomes. Select the most appropriate shutter speed for the ambient light.

[. . . ] If this should happen, turn off the power and disconnect the unit from any power sources, including the lithium battery, etc. · If the characters displayed in the viewfinder or on the LCD monitor screen appear to malfunction, disconnect the power source and remove the lithium battery, then reconnect the power source, insert the lithium battery, and turn the power on again. Set the date and time, then resume operation.
