[. . . ] Do not install your copier in areas that are: · This copier is equiped with power save mode. Keep the copier at least 15 cm back from the wall for proper ventilation and cooling. Do not expose the photoconductive drum to direct sunlight, and do not touch the photoconductive drum. The paper required (x) indicator will light up when there is no copy paper in the selected paper feed station, or when the selected paper tray is not installed or is improperly installed. [. . . ] The bypass automatically feeds one sheet of standard copy paper and also feeds special papers such as transparency film and labels one sheet at a time. Copy paper measuring from A6 to B4 and in the weight range of 52 to 130 g/m2 can be used in this tray. Two-sided copies can be made on these copiers using the bypass tray or manual bypass. Replace the first original with the second original and close the document cover. Make sure that the first and second originals are oriented in the same way on the document glass. Turn the first copy over without changing its top-bottom orientation and place it into the bypass tray. The automatic exposure level can be adjusted to suit your copying needs. This level is set for copying from document glass or from the SPF (SF-2514 only). NOTE: SF-2514 only When using document glass remove original from SPF tray. One or two exposure indicators corresponding to the automatic exposure level which has been selected will light up. Press the light ({) or dark (}) key to lighten or darken the automatic exposure level as desired. This automatic exposure level will remain in effect until you change it again by this procedure. ⷠThe exposure indicator marked "1" will light up, indicating the toner save mode is selected. ⷠTo return to the standard mode, repeat the procedure but use the dark (}) key to select exposure level "5" in step 3. When the misfeed (t) indicator blinks, the copier stops because of a misfeed. If paper is accidentally torn during removal, be sure to remove all pieces. If a misfeed occurs when using the SPF, a number may appear in the copy quantity display after a minus sign ("­"). This indicates the number of originals that must be returned to the SPF tray after a misfeed. Then this number will disappear when copying is resumed or the clear (>) key is pressed. When the SPF misfeeds an original sheet, the copier will stop and the SPF misfeed ( ) indicator will blink, while the misfeed (t) indicator will remain off. Misfeed in the SPF An original misfeed may occur at one of three locations: (A) in the SPF tray, (B) in the exit area, or (C) under the roller. (A) Gently pull the misfed original(s) to the right and out from the SPF tray. [. . . ] Copy paper measuring from A6 to A4 and in the weight range of 52 to 130 g/m2 can be used in this tray. ⷠTransparency film, labels, tracing paper, and other special purpose papers must be fed individually. For best results, use only Sharp recommended paper and transparency film. For multiple sheet copying, set the number of copies and then press the print (z) key. [. . . ]
