K. The mains lead of this product is fitted with a non-rewireable (moulded) plug incorporating a 13A fuse. Should the fuse need to be replaced, a BSI or ASTA approved BS 1362 fuse marked or and of the same rating as above, which is also indicated on the pin face of the plug, must be used. In the unlikely event of the socket outlet in your home not being compatible with the plug supplied, cut off the mains plug and fit an appropriate type. ASA DANGER: The fuse from the cut-off plug should be removed and the cut-off plug destroyed immediately and disposed of in a safe manner. Select your desired mode to your preference depending on the type of broadcast. SOUND IDENT. E STEREO This enables the selection of the reception mode when receiving a "STEREO" or "DUAL" (bilingual) signal. To let you enjoy "STEREO" and "DUAL" broadcastings, this TV receives stereo, bilingual, and monaural broadcasts. NOTE · About sound mode: In the "STEREO" menu you can select a sound mode to the SPEAKERS and HEADPHONES, and another to the audio output of the external connectors (EXT 2 and AV OUTPUT). Depending on the sound transmission the sound reproduction can be chosen in the "STEREO" menu as indicated below. · When the TV is receiving a "STEREO" programme, the TV selects "STEREO" automatically, and you can change: STEREO t MONO · When the TV is receiving a BILINGUAL programme, the TV selects DUAL CHANNEL A automatically, and you can change: DUAL CHANNEL A t DUAL CHANNEL B t DUAL CHANNEL A B t MONO · When the TV is receiving a MONO NICAM programme, the TV selects MONO NICAM automatically, and you can change: MONO NICAM t MONO (FM) · When the TV is receiving a MONO (FM) programme, the TV selects MONO automatically but the sound mode cannot be changed. Exception: When you are watching the TV through the external sources (EXT1, EXT2, EXT3, EXT3 S-VIDEO), the "STEREO" menu and (2) (Sound Mode Selector) are not operative. Item ON: The TV automatically identifies the received audio system MONO FM, STEREO or DUAL SIGNAL. OFF: Disqualifies the automatic identification of the audio system and forces the sound into MONO FM. This mode can be convenient when the level of the signal received is extremely weak.
