[. . . ] 6 ╞ Electric water kettle ● Dear Customer, Before using the appliance, the user should read the following instructions carefully. Connection to the mains supply The appliance should only be connected to an earthed socket installed in accordance with the regulations. Make sure that the supply voltage corresponds with the voltage marked on the rating label. [. . . ] Do not let the power cord hang free, and keep the cord well away from hot parts of the housing. Always remove the plug from the wall socket, - in case of any malfunction, - after use, - during cleaning. No responsibility is accepted if damage results from improper use, or if these instructions are not complied with. In order to comply with safety regulations and to avoid hazards, repairs of electrical appliances must be carried out by qualified personnel, including the replacement of the power cord. If repairs are needed, please send the appliance to one of our customer service departments. Thermal safety cut-out The preset thermal safety cut-out protects the heating element from overheating should the appliance be erroneously switched on without any water, or if the heating element is calcified. Once the safety cut-out has switched off the kettle, it must be allowed to cool down sufficiently, or must be descaled before it is switched on again. Boiling water ● Never remove the water container from the base (or replace it) while the appliance is switched on. - Open the lid and fill the container with water to the desired level, observing the Min. - Before closing the lid and placing the container back on its base, ensure that the appliance has not yet been switched on. - Insert the plug into a suitable wall socket and press the On/Off switch; the indicator light comes on. After reaching the boiling point, the appliance is automatically switched off by the integral steam cut-off device. - To interrupt the boiling process, set the On/Off switch to its Off position; the indicator light goes out. - To prevent hot steam from being emitted, ensure that the lid remains closed while pouring out the water. [. . . ] This guarantee naturally does not cover wear and tear, nor breakables such as glass and ceramic items, bulbs etc. If the product fails to operate and needs to be returned, pack it carefully, enclosing your name and address and the reason for return.
