Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] The appliance must only be used by persons familiar with these instructions. Connection to the mains supply The appliance should only be connected to an earthed socket installed in accordance with the regulations. Make sure that the supply voltage corresponds with the voltage marked on the rating label. ρ To prevent noise vibration, ensure that the power cord does not touch any part of the rear of the unit General information This appliance is a compressor refrigerator, designed for the short-term storage of food in the main cabinet and long-term storage of food in the freezer compartment. [. . . ] Mount the lower hinge plate (2) using both screws (1) in its new position on the left. Ensure that the plate is aligned parallel to the side edge of the unit. Ensure that the hinge pin of the lower hinge plate is inserted into the guide bushing (hole) in the door. Mount the upper hinge plate (5) using both screws (6) in its new position on the left. Ensure that the hinge pin is inserted into the guide bushing (hole) in the door. Close the door and ensure that it is properly aligned before fully tightening the screws of the upper and lower hinge plates. Fit the top panel (9) on the unit and – with the door open – replace the cover plate (8) into the opening on the right-hand side of the front. Put the unit back in its intended position and wait for about two hours before connecting it to the mains. Temperature control The unit is activated by connecting it to the mains. It is only switched off completely when the plug is removed from the wall socket. The temperature in the refrigerator cabinet can be adjusted by setting the temperature control. Turning the control clockwise will decrease the temperature, while turning it anti-clockwise will increase it. € After switching on, the temperature control should be set to its highest setting. 30 minutes, the temperature should be changed to a medium setting, which is usually sufficient for home or office use. Following a power interruption, or if the unit has been switched off on purpose, it may take 3 to 5 minutes before it switches on again. Note: In position ‘0’, the cooling function is switched off, though the appliance is still connected to the mains. 16 Interior lighting Changing the light bulb: – Remove the plug from the wall socket. € Use a suitable screw-driver to remove the screw holding the light cover and take the cover off. € Put the cover back into position, replace the screw and tighten it. Freezer compartment door To ensure that frozen food will not de-frost prematurely, the door to the freezer compartment should be kept closed at all times. Ensure, therefore, that the door is only opened briefly to place food in the freezer compartment or to remove it. Freezing and storing food – The temperatures inside the refrigerator cabinet and freezer compartment depend mainly on the ambient temperature, the temperature control setting and the amount of food stored. [. . . ] These sounds are caused by: – the electric motor within the compressor assembly; during compressor start-up the sound level will be slightly higher for a limited period of time. € The following table lists possible malfunctions, their probable causes and solutions. In the event of operational problems, check first whether a solution can be found using this table. If the problem persists, disconnect the appliance from the mains power and contact our Customer Service Department. [. . . ]
