[. . . ] Ensure, therefore, that none of the components of the refrigerant circuit become damaged during transportation and installation of the appliance. If damage to the cooling circuit does occur, do not switch on or connect the appliance to the mains power. If there should be an open fire or any other sources of ignition in the vicinity of the refrigerant gas, make sure 12 it is removed immediately from the area and that the room is then thoroughly ventilated. Any escaping refrigerant causes damage to the eyes; there is also a danger of the gas igniting. [. . . ] Carefully lift up the door and place it on a suitable surface to protect it from scratches. Take off the protective corner-piece (7) and re-fit it in the groove on the righthand side, pushing it firmly down. Remove the hinge pin from the hinge plate and screw it back in from the opposite side. Remove the two screws from the lefthand side in the hinge plate mounting and re-fit them on the right. Remove the three screws (1) holding the lower hinge plate (2) on the right-hand side. Remove the hinge pin from the lower hinge plate and re-fit it in the next hole. Remove the adjustable foot (4) from the left-hand side and re-fit it on the right. (Do not tighten the screws for the moment; this should only be done once the door is in its proper closed position. Ensure that the hinge pin is inserted into the guide bushing (hole) on the lower part of the door frame. Attach the upper hinge plate (5) (removed earlier in step 3) on the left-hand side. Ensure that the hinge pin is inserted into the guide bushing (hole) on the upper part of the door frame. Adjust the closed door to its proper position and tighten the screws of the upper and lower hinge plates. Replace the screws (10) und the screw covers (11) in the top panel (9). Put the unit back in its intended position and wait for about two hours before connecting it to the mains. Temperature control The temperature control automatically regulates the temperature inside the different compartments. Min cold setting Normal colder (normal) setting Max coldest setting Super intense freezing Following a power interruption, or if the unit has been switched off on purpose, it may take 3 to 5 minutes before it switches on again. 15 Super – intense freezing: With the Intensive freezing setting, the compressor works permanently without any interruption, causing the temperature inside the unit to drop quickly and thereby helping to freeze fresh food more quickly. Once the food is sufficiently frozen, the temperature control should be set back to the desired position. Note: The operating temperature in the freezer largely depends on factors such as the ambient temperature and that of the food to be newly frozen. It also depends on how often the door is opened and how long it remains open. If necessary, the temperature control setting may be adjusted accordingly. € To ensure that nutritious elements such as vitamins are not lost, fresh food should be deepfrozen right through as quickly as possible.
