You can access the menu shortcuts by pressing Right: Contacts list, Left: My Favorites, Up: Messaging, and Down: My Content. Note: The Go to (left softkey) option does not appear when 10-4 mode is set to Disable (see "Setting 10-4 Mode" on page 90). 63 Finding Speed Dial Numbers 1. Select Review or Review:Speaker. Contacts List Entry Options To access Contacts options, display the entry list, and select an entry, then highlight a phone number and press Options (right softkey). (See page 107 for details. ) Call Alarm to set a call alarm to the entry (see page 72). Prepend to alter a phone number by adding numbers to the beginning of the entry. Select Yes. 65 Assigning Speed Dial Numbers With this feature you can dial Contacts Directory entries with one key press for locations 2-9. Save your memory locations 2-9 for speed dialing your most commonly used phone numbers. Speed Dial numbers must be stored in your Contacts to use this feature. To set Speed Dial: 1. Select the phone number you want to set as a speed dial number and press Options (right softkey). . Note: When you select an assigned number, you'll be asked whether you want to overwrite the assigned number. To delete the previous speed dial assignment select Reset. To use Speed Dial: From standby mode, just press and hold the appropriate key. 66 Selecting a Ringer/Image Type for an Entry You can assign a ringer/image type to a Contacts entry so you can identify the caller by the ringer or image type. To select a ringer type for an entry: 1. ­ or ­ Highlight an email address or Web address, and press Edit (right softkey). Press Save (left softkey). To select an image type for an entry: . 1. . 67 Secret Contacts Entries You can hide an entry's phone number(s) by making them secret, which requires your lock code to edit the entry. The entry name is still displayed, but the entry's phone numbers are replaced by "<Secret>". Tip: If you can't recall your lock code, try using the last four digits of your phone number, or 0000. Dialing Services You must be in digital mode to access services. Personal Organizer Managing Schedules Calendar Use the Calendar to remind you of events or important calls you need to make. From the Calendar display, highlight the day you want to add an event by using the navigation key. Enter the description and press (or press Mode [right softkey] to select a description from "From To Do List"). Note: The "From To Do List" option will not appear if there are no items stored in the To Do List. Turning Off Your Phone Before Flying Turn off your phone or set your phone to Airplane mode before boarding any aircraft. To prevent possible interference with aircraft systems, Transport Canada regulations require you to have permission from a crew member to use your phone while the plane is on the ground. 125 Turning Off Your Phone in Dangerous Areas To avoid interfering with blasting operations, turn your phone off when in a blasting area or in other areas with signs indicating two-way radios should be turned off.
