The VOICE MAIL indicator on the base of your phone flashes whenever you have messages waiting in your voice mailbox. Programming your access number 1 2 Press and hold MENU/SERVICE. Press SELECT to select Voice The display shows: Store Number If you have previously stored a number, the display will show: Edit Number Delete Number Go Back 3 4 Enter your Mailbox access number. You will hear a long beep and the display shows: Number Stored Note: You must subscribe to voice mail service from your telephone company in order to use this feature. Retrieving your voice mail messages The VOICE MAIL indicator on the base will flash when you have received new voice messages. 1 2 E34 To access your Voice Mailbox, press MENU/SERVICE and select Voice mail. CLT9960 3rd 7/25/00 3:42 PM Page 39 ADVANCED CALLING FEATURES Resetting the message waiting indicator You may need to occasionally reset the VOICE MAIL indicator if it remains on after you have retrieved your messages. To reset the indicator, put the handset to the base then press and hold the PAGE/FIND key for two seconds, or until the indicator stops flashing. VOICE MAIL indicator PAGE/FIND key Paging To locate the handset 1 2 Press PAGE/FIND on the base less than 2 seconds. The following screen appears: Paging 3 Notes: Press any key on the handset to stop paging. · By holding PAGE/FIND for more than 2 seconds and up to 60 seconds, the handset beeps for 60 seconds. If you press and hold for more than 60 seconds, the handset beeps until you release the key. · When a call is received during paging, paging stops and the handset rings. · If you press TALK/END during paging, the handset turns into talk mode. · Paging cannot be performed while the handset is in use.
