Your reciprocating saw has been shipped fully assembled except for the blade. Inspect it carefully to make sure that it has not been broken or damaged during shipping. If any parts are damaged or missing, contact your nearest Ryobi Authorised Service Centre to obtain replacement parts before attempting to operate the saw. Two blades and this user manual are also included WARNING: If any parts are missing, do not operate this saw until the missing parts have been replaced. Before attempting to use your saw, familiarise yourself with its operation and all safety instructions. WARNING: Please read the user manual thoroughly and ensure that you understand it before using your reciprocating saw. Pay close attention to the safety instructions, warnings and cautions. To enjoy years of safe, reliable service, use your reciprocating saw correctly and only for the purpose for which it is designed. WARNING: If any parts are missing, do not operate this saw until the missing parts have been replaced. WARNING: Failure to remove the battery pack from the saw could result in the saw starting accidentally and cause serious personal injury. Loosen the set screw in the gear housing using the Allen key supplied with the saw. Small workpieces should be securely clamped in a vice or clamped to a work bench or table. Press the shoe onto the workpiece and then move the blade into the workpiece. Use of excessive pressure bending or twisting the blade may break the blade. Choose a convenient starting point inside the area to be cut out and position the tip of the blade over that point. Rest the front edge of the shoe on the workpiece and hold the saw firmly in that position. WARNING: Make sure that the blade does not come in contact with the workpiece until the motor reaches full speed, as this could cause loss of control resulting in serious injury. When the saw blade is at full cutting speed, slowly tilt the saw until the tip of blade starts cutting into the workpiece. When the blade has cut into the workpiece, continue tilting until the saw blade is perpendicular to the workpiece. Metals such as thin sheet steel, steel rods, aluminium, brass and copper may be cut with your saw. [. . . ] After normal use, it takes about 1 hour of charging time for the battery to be fully charged and 1 1/2 hours if the battery was really run down. The battery pack will become slightly warm to the touch while charging. When moving the charger suddenly from a low temperature location to high temperature location, check whether moisture has formed on the unit. If moisture has formed, allow the charger to sit for 1 to 2 hours with the plug disconnected from the outlet before using it. [. . . ]
