In some cases, this may cause fast reverse action, kicking the unit up and back or down and back towards the operator. The operator can lose control of the device, and that could result in serious personal injury. Do not remove cut material or hold material to be cut when the chain is moving. If the machine strikes or becomes entangled with foreign objects, stop the unit immediately, remove the battery pack and check for damage. When transporting or storing the unit, always fit the transport guard over the cutting chain and bar. Always be aware of your surroundings and stay alert for possible hazards that you may not hear due to the noise of the machine. Make sure that the chain tension is correctly adjusted as specified in these instructions. Incorrect tension may SERVICE SPECIFIC SAFETY RULES PREPARATION Local regulations may restrict the use of the machine. Never attempt to use an incomplete machine or one fitted with an unauthorised modification. If any parts are missing, do not operate the unit until the missing parts are replaced. It has been reported that vibrations from hand-held tools may contribute to a condition called Raynaud's Syndrome in certain individuals. Symptoms may include tingling, numbness and blanching of the fingers, usually apparent upon exposure to cold. Hereditary factors, exposure to cold and dampness, diet, smoking and work practices are all thought to contribute to the development of these symptoms. It is presently unknown what, if any, vibrations or extent of exposure may contribute to the condition. [. . . ] Unless specifically provided under applicable law, this warranty does not cover transportation cost or consumable items such as fuses. This limited warranty is void if the product's original identification (trade mark, serial number) markings have been defaced, altered or removed or if product is not purchased from an authorized reseller or if product is sold AS IS and / or WITH ALL FAULTS.
