Manual abstract: user guide RYOBI JS500QEO

Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] It is essential that you read the instructions in this manual before mounting and operating this machine. Pay careful attention to these safety symbols and the accompanying information. The safety warnings do not in themselves eliminate any danger and are not substitutes for proper accident prevention measures. WARNING: Failure to obey a safety warning can result in serious injury to yourself or to others. [. . . ] It should be connected to a power supply that is 230 volts, 50 Hz, AC only (normal household current). a substantial voltage drop will cause a loss of power and overheating. If your tool does not operate when plugged into an outlet, doublecheck the power supply. Remember that a careless fraction of a second is sufficient to inflict severe injury. S Note: If you decide not to use the speed selector, turn it clockwise as far as it will go. This will enable you to control your saw according to the amount of finger pressure exerted on the trigger. Avoid running your saw at excessively low speeds for extended periods of time. Running the saw at low speed for a long period of time may cause your saw to overheat. If this occurs, cool your saw by running it without a load at full speed. The following guidelines will help you to determine the correct speed for various applications: · LOW speed is ideal when minimum speed and power is required, for example, starting cuts. HIGH speed gives best results when maximum power is required, for example, cutting wood. Your saw is equipped with a lock-on feature, which is convenient when continuous cutting for extended periods of time is required. To lock-on, depress the trigger, push in and hold the lock-on button located on the side of the handle, then release the trigger. If you have the lock-on feature engaged during use and your saw becomes disconnected from the power supply, disengage the lock-on feature immediately. WARNING: Before connecting your saw to the power supply, always check to be sure it is not in lock-on position (depress and release trigger). Failure to do so could result in accidental starting of your saw resulting in possible serious injury. Also, do not use the lock-on feature where your saw may need to be stopped suddenly. As shown in Figure 4, the blade storage area is located on the back of your saw and the hex key storage area is located on the base. They are convenient for storing extra blades, storing blades when not in use, and storing the hex key provided with your saw. WARNING: Be careful not to insert the saw blade or hex key into the air vents. They could come in contact with electrically live internal parts, and cause electrical shock resulting in serious injury. WARNING: Your saw should never be connected to the power supply when you mount parts, make adjustments, install or remove blades, or when not in use. [. . . ] WARNING: Failure to unplug your saw could result in accidental starting and cause serious injury. Spread the tabs located on the rear of the attachment then remove the attachment from the base. Using the key provided, loosen the base pivot screws and slide the clamp plate to the rear. It has been found that electric tools are subject to accelerated wear and possible premature failure when they are used on board fibreglass boats, in sports cars, on wallboard, coating compounds, or plaster.
