Checking out songs Checking out songs means transferring audio files from a computer to an external device (for example, a portable player). To check out songs, proceed as follows: 1 Connect the external device or insert the media (for example, a MagicGate Memory StickTM) into your computer. Your computer automatically recognises the connected external device or media and the Check-In/Out window appears. Click the Show List button to see which songs you have in the Music Drive. In the Tree view on the left, select the playlist containing the song(s) to check out. To check out more than one song at a time, hold down the <Ctrl> key and select additional songs. Click the Check Out button or drag the song to the appropriate position in the song list of the external device or media. The checking out begins. SonicStage does not work with the blue Memory SticksTM. To cancel Check Out, click Stop, or click Cancel in the processing dialog box that is displayed during the Check Out process. 2 3 4 5 6 Managing audio files with SonicStage Software Guide nN 62 Checking in songs After checking out audio files, you can transfer those files back to the hard drive. The songs that you transfer like this can only be checked in to the hard drive of the same computer from which the songs were checked out. To check in songs, proceed as follows: 1 Connect the external device or insert the MagicGate Memory StickTM into your computer. The Adjust window displays an enlarged version of the picture on the right and thumbnail versions on the left. 10 Click Finish Importing to save the imported pictures in a photo collection (see Using the PhotoCollection feature (page 68)). 9 Using the Import feature with a TWAIN device To use the Import feature with TWAIN-supporting devices (a scanner, for example), proceed as follows: 1 2 Make sure the photo capture software delivered with the device is installed on your computer, and connect your scanner or other TWAIN device to your computer. The PhotoCollection Import window appears and your connected device is displayed in the Select window. The photo capture application that was provided with the device launches automatically. When import is complete, the Adjust window appears, displaying an enlarged version of the picture on the right and thumbnail versions on the left. Click Save to move the individual picture to a new folder. 3 4 5 6 Using PictureGear Studio Software Guide nN 67 7 Click Delete to remove the picture from the photo collection. Click Finish Importing to save the imported pictures in a photo collection (see Using the PhotoCollection feature (page 68)). To use the PhotoCollection feature, proceed as follows: 1 In the PictureGear Studio main window, click PhotoCollection. The PhotoCollection window appears, with a list of available photo sources displayed on the left, and the selected source's contents displayed as thumbnail pictures on the right.
