Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] Never start a tool when its rotating component is in contact with the workpiece. Never lay a tool down before its moving parts have come to a complete stop. ACCESSORIES: The use of equipment or accessories other than those recommended in this manual might present a hazard. Make sure that the saw blade is properly attached as described in the Operating Instructions before connecting the tool to the power source. [. . . ] Make sure the power cord is well away from the material to be cut to prevent the risk of electrical shocks. Hold the saw firmly before switching it on, as inertial force could cause the saw to break free from your grasp. The distance between the riving knife and the toothed rim of the saw blade is not more than 5 mm. The toothed rim does not extend more than 5 mm beyond the lower edge of the riving knife. The riving knife should always be used except when making a plunging cut in the middle of a workpiece. ACCESSORIES: The use of accessories or attachments other than those recommended in this manual might present a hazard. Ensure that the diameter, thickness and other characteristics of the saw blade are suitable for the tool. Do not use power tools in places where there is a risk of fire or electric shock. When not in use, tools should be stored in a dry, high or locked-up place, out of children's reach. It will do the job better and safer when used at the rate for which it was intended. It is not necessary to maintain pressure on the safety button once the trigger switch has been depressed. Pressing the spindle lock button, turn the hex-head bolt with the spanner until the spindle locks. Loosen the hex-head bolt by turning the spanner anticlockwise while pressing the spindle lock button. Retract the lower guard back as far as possible under the upper guard, then remove the saw blade. When cutting, use steady and even pressure (DO NOT FORCE) in order to obtain a uniform cut. Do not use saw blades the disk of which is thicker, or the set of which is smaller, then the thickness of the riving knife. When cutting a workpiece at 0°, use point "A" of the base plate line guide (20) and move the saw along the pencilled line you have drawn. Make a sample cut in scrap lumber to determine the actual line of cut. The distance between the riving knife (11) and the toothed rim of the saw blade is under 5 mm. The toothed rim does not extend more than 5 mm beyond the lower edge of the riving knife. [. . . ] The riving knife should always be used except when making a plunging cut in the middle of a workpiece. We recommended that you take this tool to an Authorised Ryobi Service Centre for a thorough cleaning and lubrication at least once a year. For greater safety and reliability, all repairs should be performed by an Authorised Ryobi Service Centre. The depth of cut (14) can be determined by the depth scale (15) or by measuring the distance by which the blade protrudes from the base plate. [. . . ]
